After 3 years with us Faye has moved on to pastures new, we have known Faye since she did her college work placement with us 6 years ago and she will be missed. We are pleased to welcome Nick into the team who has building experience and is already improving the farm.
Our new sensory garden is almost complete and is available for all of our visitors to use. With running water, trees, gravel, scented plants and seating areas it should be a feast for the senses and a much more attractive view from the front windows.
The farm is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year so in June we held a ‘birthday party’ fundraiser which was a great success, both local people and others from far and wide came to celebrate with us and we raised over £700.
Now that the farmhouse is much improved after the addition of a conservatory, bedroom extension and kitchen refurbishment, we have turned our attention to the grounds. We have raised funds to build a sensory garden which will be suitable for all to enjoy but particularly our visitors from special schools. The area we have chosen is at the front of the building and it will be gently lit at night so that it can be enjoyed from the bedrooms.
Kelly is now a Forest School leader so if you would like to experience a session or two or expand on what you already do in a different setting just let us know.
